Please make checks payable to the Lollipop Tree Nursery School. Make sure your child’s name is on the bottom of the check. If you are interested in having tuition automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month please speak to Melissa. You can download the form here. Please call the school for tuition prices.
Subsequent payments are due on the first of each month and will remain the same despite vacations, holidays and snow days. The second payment is due by September 1st. The tenth payment is due May 1. If another payment schedule would be better for you, please talk to Debbie. A 30-day notice is required for withdrawal or change in schedule or the next payment is due. Please note if notice is given after February 1st the remaining 3 tuition payments are due. More information about tuition is available in the Parent Handbook which is available on our website and in the school office.
The Lollipop Tree does not do fundraising for the school or ask for money for food parties or any events held at school. At times we will collect goods for community organizations (of course this is always voluntary).
ILLNESS: Please keep your contagious children at home. A child absent with a communicable disease must present a doctor’s note for re-admittance. Please call if your child will be absent. Children may not return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours without medication.
CLOTHING: If your child has recently toilet trained, please send in extra clothes. We keep spare clothing on hand but a child is more comfortable in their own. Please label all clothing with child’s name.
SNACK: The Lollipop Tree is a peanut/nut free school. Snack is provided by the school. Please do not bring any food into the classrooms (except for children attending full day or lunch brunch).
SNOW DAYS: School will be closed for snow days when all of Braintree Public Schools are cancelled. The announcements will be broadcast on TV and the radio. Delayed openings, Kindergarten, and Pre-School cancellations do not apply. Check our website www.LollipopTreeKids.com and Facebook page for school closings.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: The Lollipop Tree has been providing developmentally appropriate education for preschoolers since 1982 at this same location. We offer a Lunch/Brunch program twice a month, starting in October, which is an extended day for the half day child. A music program and yoga class for the children is offered monthly. Indoor gym is offered daily in our large auditorium to enhance gross motor skills and physical activity. Outdoor play is also offered weather permitting. We always leave time to explore through science experiments and play as well as working on all prekindergarten skills. We do not take field trips. However, we do bring in many special guests, such as a dental hygienist, firefighters and police officers. Parents that would like to share something about their professions or cultures that would interest the children and enrich our program are welcome.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
Even though we do not have formal teacher/parent conferences, as the need arises, a conference may be scheduled. You may speak to your child’s teachers and arrange a time that is convenient for all parties. If needed, the directors will attend. We want you to be aware that we have celebrations for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Valentine’s Day. National holidays such as Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day will be remembered.
We also teach the children the “Pledge of Allegiance”.
As always, your input is very important to us and always welcome. Any suggestions may be brought to the attention of the directors or placed in the suggestion box outside of the office. We realize that there is always room for improvement and we strive to be better. Individual and class pictures are taken every year. The date will be posted on the Lollipop Tree calendar which is located on our website. The Lollipop Tree offers a summer program. More information will follow in the spring. Please plan to spend a short time with us the first day so that you may meet the other parents in your child’s class.
The Lollipop Tree is not affiliated with the First Congregational Church or any other business located at 12 Elm Street.
